Hello, Your PC began shutting down unexpectedly during gameplay recently. This happened around Christmas while playing FiveM. I first looked at the temperatures – CPU was between 70-76°C under heavy load, and GPU matched that. After installing OCCT and stress-testing "POWER" for over an hour, the PC didn’t restart, suggesting the issue isn’t with the power supply since it ran lighter while playing FiveM. I wasn’t home on weekends and overlooked the problem. Then I installed the STALKER mod; it consumed only about 20% of the system’s power and performed well for the first few hours. Recently, after roughly three to four hours of play, the PC restarted after 20 minutes, and now it crashes during gaming. If I run a full stress test on all components, everything functions normally without restarts. Your specs include a Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, Intel Core i7-13700F, and several high-end SSDs. So far, I changed the CPU paste value after nearly a year and swapped RAM slots, checked for malware. What might be causing this? The PC turns off during games but recovers after stress tests. Could it be related to overheating, software conflict, or a hardware fault? Thanks for sharing your details!

It seems you're unsure about fixing the problem. You might want to replace the RAM and run memtest again, or test one stick at a time.

I attempted a more robust power supply unit.

No problem. I'll attempt 1200w tomorrow; currently I can't use other PCs. Earlier 600w worked for about eight months. Playing COD without any problems.

It should function properly... and it feels brand new! It’s simply a formality to complete.

It's possible your PC uses more than 600W, which could strain a standard PSU and cause wear over time. Upgrading to a higher wattage unit might help, but keep in mind it could accelerate degradation. Software updates for drivers or games can slightly affect power consumption, so adjustments might be needed. For a 13,700K and 4070Ti setup, consider at least a 750W PSU.

The issue might be related to how the system handles benchmarks versus gameplay, possibly due to differences in resource management or background processes.
