I don’t understand why it’s freezing despite high frame rates. Even with VSync enabled, performance drops significantly. This seems to affect many users. I’m considering removing it and trying again, but I’m not sure what’s causing the problem. This game is impressive—had it on my PS3, I couldn’t stop playing it.

I experienced the same problem again and can't remember the solution from before. Frustrating.

I adjusted the tessellation in the application settings. Removed stutter and achieved a 40+ FPS improvement. This worked for my 660ti too.

Oh oops. Sorry I was in a hurry this morning. The question is, does this happen to other people with 770's or higher and is there a fix for this? I mean shit, the console version to me feels the best and I hate to say that because I'm a diehard pc gamer.

In the Nvidia Control Panel under 3D Application Settings, choose the game executable and look for an option named Surface Format Optimization. If it appears, turn it off. This issue caused stuttering and low FPS in several games on your 290.

Yea don't see that haha. Probably an AMD thing. For some reason it won't even save my profiles when I try to let the application decide.
