Game performance on cities skylines 2 runs smoothly with an RTX3060 Ti graphics card.
Hello, I understand the situation clearly. The game seems to have performance problems despite having a strong GPU like the RTX3060Ti. From what I've observed, it can run at 1080P medium settings, but even at very low settings, FPS drops occur intermittently—especially when the camera isn't moved. These drops sometimes last for a second before resuming. I managed to avoid this issue for a while, but it reappeared later. My concern is whether this is due to the game's optimization level or if something specific is affecting my setup. It makes playing frustrating and nearly impossible. PS: I've attached a screenshot showing the FPS fluctuations. Also, testing Spiderman Remastered in 4K at 120Hz with RayTracing at high settings gave smooth performance. Am I making a mistake?
You're checking for issues with your screen output and performance. It looks like you're experiencing movement problems on your display, especially when streaming. You mentioned that the issue might be related to VRR displays and that it occurs randomly when streaming but not when playing offline. You're considering turning off V-sync as a potential fix, though you haven't tried it yet.
It seems like the performance could be a challenge with older Ryzen 5 models, especially during intense gaming sessions.
Their information is outdated. The image displays a 3060 Ti and 7600 processor, running at about 41% CPU utilization. Based on my brief testing, CS2 doesn't appear to stress any single core intensely, instead distributing the workload more evenly across all cores.
Yeah, sorry about that. Here is the recording I did, maybe it is more clear. I might try this since I also have 2 monitors plugged in. Yeah sorry I did not mention that but I recently upgraded to a Ryzen 5 7600 as seen in the screenshot. Also, the game is installed on an nvme drive. Update : I tested playing with a video on the 2nd monitor. Still have the issue, and when it freezes the video on the other screen freezes too. Don't know if this means anything though...
Looks like some kind of microstutter. A momentary glitch in the flow. Why, I don't know. I do find it interesting it impacts video playing on 2nd display, which does suggest some kind of system level limitations. An up to date system spec could help. It looks like you're using more than 16GB of ram. I'm not familiar with how the overlay reports usage but I presume that you have more than 16GB otherwise that would be a significant problem in itself.
You're asking about your current hardware and whether a system update might improve performance. It means you want to know what your computer's specifications are and if a recent software update could make it faster or more stable.
Thanks for sharing your setup! Your PC configuration includes a strong MSI B650I with Ryzen 5 7600 and good RAM. You're using an AOC 1080P monitor and also connecting an LG 4K TV for gaming sessions. When Task Manager appears on the secondary screen, you observe smooth gameplay despite having your mouse elsewhere, but the Node.js JavaScript Runtime usage spikes during freezes. You managed to stop the process temporarily, after which performance returned. This behavior suggests a possible background process conflict or resource contention. It might help to check for updates, disable unnecessary services, or monitor resource usage closely. Let me know if you'd like more specific troubleshooting steps!
