Game performance is poor on PC, especially 3DMark tests at just 10 frames per second.
I’ve noticed a significant drop in game performance recently (Marvel Rivals around 30–40 FPS). To investigate, I performed a 3DMark Steel Nomad DX12 test on my system—equipped with an RTX 3080 and a Ryzen 9 5900X. The scores were disappointingly low, only 9–10 FPS. The benchmark showed the GPU operating at full capacity, yet its clock speed averaged just about 300 MHz, which is unusually low. CPU usage stayed minimal and temperatures remained stable. I attempted to reinstall drivers via DDU, but that didn’t resolve the issue. My BIOS is current, and the setup looks normal: 64GB DDR4 at ~3134 MHz, Windows 11, NVMe SSD, Resizable BAR off. Any advice on next steps or possible fixes would be welcome. result.3dmark-result
Latest NVIDIA drivers appear unstable... especially with the 3080. Could it be related to overheating memory? Do you have MSI Afterburner or similar overclocking tools set up? Yes... but the odd thing is it's running around 300 MHz, which shouldn't be that warm—more like 40°C or less. What's the cooling setup in your system? I'd appreciate knowing, but I still suspect some strange settings or a driver issue. I might try installing Windows 10 just to be safe, since Windows 11 seems like an incomplete alpha version right now.
