My SSD with my operating system encountered a BCD error, so I had to format it before installing new Windows. Besides the OS, I kept all my essential programs like Steam and Discord on it. After reinstalling Origin, the game didn’t recognize Star Wars Battlefront on my HDD. Can I find a way to tell Origin to detect it without reinstalling?

I also had to research this recently and haven’t tried it yet. What I found: 1) Copy the game from the location, then remove it. 2) Begin installing the desired location. 3) Pause the install, hide the origin, and transfer files back. 4) Restart the installation. According to what I read, this should make the computer believe it’s already finished downloading quickly. Still, I haven’t confirmed it works, but it might help if you see it online.

When I attempted to copy it again, it refused. So I reinstalled the game from the beginning. Thanks for the help.

You need to install Origin properly so it recognizes the files. Moving folders or placing a game in the wrong location won’t work. Last time I moved my installation folder and added a game, I told Origin to install it, and after a few minutes it started functioning correctly.
