Forza when starting will stop after about eight minutes, then shut down without warning. It doesn’t freeze or crash—just closes suddenly, like hitting X on a Google tab if I’m lucky. Usually the game won’t even start. When I press play, nothing happens. Sometimes a Microsoft message appears saying the game isn’t available on my account. I’m confused about what that means since I bought it. I left it on overnight hoping it would fix itself, but it didn’t. I’ve tried disabling my VPN, turning off the firewall, running as admin, and using Windows repair options. Nothing works. I’ve also used Microsoft’s help feature, but the site is hard to navigate. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know.
Did you purchase this from the Microsoft store? (It sounds like that.)
I hope someone can offer a more useful answer. My suggestion is to never, never purchase anything from the Microsoft store. Based on what I've experienced, everything tends to break or fail quickly. When something doesn't work, the best solution is to remove it and reinstall. As soon as updates happen—whether from Windows or the store—it usually leads to more problems. So far, the only chargebacks I've filed (just in case) were against the Microsoft store, as they seem unresponsive and won't assist. Still, even checking reviews for Forza shows many people mention needing to uninstall and reinstall. I'm going to wait and see if anyone has better ideas, since this hasn't worked well for Minecraft on my son's PC. Since the launcher was released, we're essentially having to uninstall and reinstall every time he wants to play.
