Game issues causing PC to freeze frequently.
You're experiencing random freezing events when multiple games are running simultaneously. This can be caused by resource contention or background processes interfering with your applications. Check system logs and monitor CPU/memory usage during the freezes to identify potential culprits. Consider closing unused programs or adjusting startup settings to reduce conflicts.
Only the applications are freezing; the entire system remains operational.
It's hard for me to tell. To describe it better here is an example: I'll have Modern Warfare 2 open, along with a youtube video playing in a Chrome tab. While playing the game at some point, the game freezes and the youtube video playback freezes as well. I can't move my mouse and keyboard input seems to have no effect either, so maybe that means the whole system is freezing. Either way after a few seconds in that frozen state, everything goes back to normal. Also to provide more context this is happening on a new build I initially booted up with Windows 10. I updated to Windows 11 and that is when these freezes started happening. I then reverted back to Windows 10 in an attempt to fix the issue, but it is still happening.
The only time I see a situation like yours is during memory issues. For instance, if you increase your RAM and the swap partition is still present while trying to add more space, my system freezes similarly. I’m not sure you’ll reach your full RAM capacity, but something might be amiss. You could try re-seating the RAM and CPU as well, just to confirm. The connections don’t seem to be the cause. Running a memtest would help, but it’d need to run for at least as long as this issue typically takes. If that doesn’t resolve it, a Windows reinstall might be necessary. There could also be an entry in the Windows Event Viewer that explains what’s happening.
