Sorry to interrupt, but I'm facing the same problem myself and a few friends too. Alt tab or closing the game can cause my PC to freeze, requiring a reboot to resolve. I've reached out to Riot and they provided some fixes, though none have been successful so far. They also noted that Windows 11 isn't fully supported by them. I'm trying to use the Windows button for alt tab to see if it works as well. I hope we can find a workaround, but it seems the game itself might be faulty. Riot Support recommended several steps with links to their help pages. My system details include an AMD Ryzen 5600X, ASUS Prime x470 Pro board, Corsair Vengeance RAM, and a Zotac RTX 3080 Ti GPU. I'm using a Samsung SSD setup and have tried different troubleshooting methods. What else has anyone found effective? I'm concerned this could be a broader issue with the game.
Later this evening I upgraded from 1660ti to 3060 and it began to happen right away. I also updated the nvidia geforce experience which was at version 511.65 before changing cards and had never caused any problems. After removing the new driver, I went back to my previous version to check if this resolves the issue. It’s frustrating because I always use alt-tab and Destiny 2 frequently freezes my whole system. Update: Going back to the old version allowed me to use alt-tab again, but I still can’t return to playing the game itself. Clearly, these GPUs are affecting it. Disabled Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling – no change in results.
