Earlier there was a problem with my system and the game Snowrunner. Graphics would freeze while audio remained audible. If I waited, a black screen would appear and then I could switch to the desktop, where I sometimes exited the game. The mouse would show the cursor instead of responding, and the GPU would disappear from the list. Restarting fixed everything. Online advice was sparse, but some suggested GPU overload might be the cause. I tried limiting the frame rate to 60fps in Snowrunner, which stopped the crash. I found a similar situation online involving excessive power draw and a 600W PSU causing the same issue. Solutions proposed included lowering the voltage or replacing components, but I wasn’t sure how to proceed. My concern was whether my PSU might be insufficient despite its 1000W rating and Platinum certification. The GPU cables were single connections, not daisy-chained. I’d appreciate any insights or clarification on what might be happening. Thanks, Brian.

There are similar challenges in other titles that closely match this one, especially recent ones like MH Wilds. I’ve got a setup that’s quite alike yours—check your profile. If you’re feeling energetic, try capping your card clock speed at 2500-2600MHz and observe if the issue persists. Have your drivers been updated? Also, just a note, I’m using the same configuration as you but with an 850W power supply, which should be sufficient.

The crash occurred once again. I located two log entries—one from Apphang and another from a kernel message. I don’t understand what they mean, but here’s the relevant data. Please find the details below. I’m hoping someone can help interpret this.
