My computer has an i7-6700HQ processor and a 1070 graphics card (not the maximum Q version). Recently, I’ve experienced a significant decrease in frame rates across most of my games, even lighter titles such as League of Legends now struggle to reach 30fps. Only a handful of games, notably Rainbow Six Siege, where I consistently achieve over 80 fps, and League of Legends at over 100 fps, perform flawlessly. Furthermore, all my simulation games run exceptionally smoothly. When I say “majority” of games are unplayable, it’s approximately 90% – out of a hundred games attempted, just ten percent performed as expected. Notably, titles like Rainbow Six Siege, Grand Theft Auto V, and Forza Horizon 4 appear to be unaffected. I desperately need assistance; this is incredibly frustrating.
Verify the operating setting. Switch to maximum performance if it's currently in energy saving mode. Assess whether your gaming temperatures are acceptable utilizing MSI Afterburner for monitoring purposes.
