I recently faced issues with running games like Call Of Duty, Apex Legends and The Finals. For COD I accessed the main menu but encountered crashes when trying to launch a game. In Apex Legends and The Finals, I couldn’t even start the titles. Testing smaller games such as Among Us worked fine, along with Fortnite. Everything else functioned normally except for gaming. I ran an SFC and Windows diagnostics, but a memory access violation error appeared in the debug menu. Drivers, Windows, and BIOS are up to date on what appears to be a brand new system. Specs: MotherBoard Gigabyte Z790 Aorus elix ax ATX LGA1700 CPU: Intel 19-14900k RAM Corsair Vengeance 32 GB DDR5 CL36 GPU PNY XLR8 4090 PSU Super Flower Leadex Titanium 1600 80+ SSDs 970 EVO Plus 1tb 990 Pro 1tb. Errors reported: THEIA_8591437_21280 - Shortcut.lnk

Performed a quick online lookup for CoD Run Call of Duty Vanguard setup tips. Adjusted system settings by removing the Battle.net cache, clearing the Blizzard folder in ProgramData, and disabling the Xbox Game Bar or similar overlays.

Accessing the game files requires admin rights, yet the interface remains inaccessible. It seems the issue might be related to your system or the games installed.

Have you checked for recent GPU driver updates? They might explain the game crashes.

I just upgraded my GPU drivers. I’ll roll them back to check for improvements.

Other ideas you might consider are:
1. Verify in NVIDIA software that your 4090 GPU is assigned as the main processor (your Intel CPU may be using integrated graphics)
2. Perform a fresh Windows installation to see if the OS is damaged
3. Open Device Manager, navigate to Display Adapters to confirm the 4090 is recognized

I handled everything, though it didn’t go as planned. Cleaning up Windows installed was tedious, but it resolved the issue. The problem likely came from a corrupted file in my system.
