This comment mentioned my i5 6500 is limiting performance for my RX 470, recommending a switch to an Xeon v3. It seemed like a joke about the situation... 😂
I'm not completely confident the turbo boost plus the 20+ animation and video tabs caused the high temperature, but my readings are usually elevated. Yes, I've heard from Linus's videos or similar content that most Macs tend to slow down their performance after about 30 minutes of heavy gaming or intensive tasks. It often leads to long periods of lag before the system finally stalls. Regarding clock speeds, do you know any app that tracks them or displays them on your screen? I'd like to see my actual frequencies while gaming.
It's unclear whether the MSI afterburner is compatible with OS X.
