Game Cycles
People initially expect a new game to be outstanding, but once it releases it often turns out to be disappointing. COD exemplifies this pattern. Ghosts has been labeled the worst COD title ever, while many others claim it’s the best. In 2012 BO2 faced similar criticism, leading players to favor MW3, which was then seen as the top COD game. With MW3’s release, it quickly became the worst again, prompting a return to BO. This cycle repeats with each new release. BF4 is generally disliked, yet Hardline often gains approval from some fans. These reactions reflect a common misconception about games.
Players enjoying GTA have generally appreciated the most recent five titles I've noticed. There doesn't seem to be much criticism when a fresh Minecraft update releases.
After CoD4, all the CoDs were disappointing. I don’t understand your perspective. The same goes for BC2—it was a real letdown compared to BF2, which was still a hit at that time. People tend to focus more on discussion than actual improvements. That’s just how the internet operates.
