Hey, over the last year and a half since setting up my PC, I've encountered problems with AAA titles or games from big studios. It began with crashes during Call of Duty, then Halo Infinite, and only after some time did it occur in Star Wars: Fallen Order. I can play for short bursts or just a few minutes. Usually, COD causes consistent issues once they start. After playing for a while, it would crash every match, except around the six-month point when it became more frequent again with the new game's release.

I've been playing racing for about six months now, using VR for the last three sessions, and only experienced crashes during those. Rocket League was my first real crash in a while, lasting about five minutes. I'm trying to figure out why this seems like a major problem from developers. The crashes tend to happen randomly—whether I'm in a menu, at town, or during intense action. My screen goes black, though sometimes it turns green and then stays on. The RGB lights flicker, but the fans don't increase much. The computer remains on until I force a reboot by pressing the power button.

I've tried swapping out every component I could find. At first, just reinstalled the OS onto a new PC, tested it solo and still faced the same issues. Ran my old 1060 with the same problems, used a different motherboard, and even changed the RAM to a single stick I bought for testing. I ran memory tests on both, used DDU to uninstall and reinstall the GPU in safe mode, and tried both Adrenaline and Pro drivers. Updated BIOS and firmware, changed BIOS settings, updated monitor drivers, and installed MSI software for the motherboard.

I'm using a single monitor, cabled connection, and set RGB lighting to thermal shutdown based on color. I don't notice any fan noise anymore, but it's unclear what's causing the instability. Any advice or steps would be greatly appreciated. If you have more details, it would help a lot. Thanks!

You're asking about the meaning of "no errors" in the context of an event viewer. If everything is functioning correctly, it suggests the system is stable. You mentioned experiencing crashes or issues before, so you're seeking advice on whether your setup (i5-13600K with MSI Pro Z690-A) is safe to proceed.

I'm not experiencing any display issues. The logs don't show anything visible in the game or event viewer. There seems to be no helpful information there. Would you like to share a screenshot of the errors within a specific period so I can review it? This problem occurs before boot info and unexpected shutdowns, but my research hasn't found a solution. The time service 'VMICTimeProvider' says the hardware and environment aren't supported and has stopped. This is likely normal for this provider in non-HyperV guest setups.

I believe I’ve solved the issue. I utilized the AMD built-in undervolt tool, Profile, which appears to have resolved the problem during extended sessions over the last couple of days.
