Hey everyone. I've been struggling with this for a few weeks now. My game freezes, the screen goes black, and the audio distorts badly. I have to restart my laptop whenever this happens. I'm using an HP 17-cn1xxx laptop and keep updating my graphics driver (Intel Iris XE Graphics) with each new release. At first, it seemed to work since crashes only appeared with outdated drivers. But now it crashed right after the latest update. I've done the basic maintenance Blizzard asks for, just to reset the UI because I don't want to mess with my action bars. I'm also unsure how to keep them intact during a reset. I'm playing Retail Wow with one addon (Mapster). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I haven't worked with the event viewer before. No WoW related issues appear, though there are many from ModernDeployment Diagnostic tools. So far it doesn’t make much sense. When the problem recurs I’ll look for more clues. EDIT: Discovered something. I don’t recall if it happened at that time. Spoiler – Log Name: Application Source: Application End date: 8/3/2022 9:10:34 AM Event ID: 1002 Task Category: (101) Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: LAPTOP Description: The program Wow.exe version 9.2.5.44908 stopped communicating with Windows and closed. This seems like a significant issue. For future attempts, try rebooting the graphics drivers using Win+Ctrl+Shift+B, though it may not resolve the problem. Are you sure the system completed a file integrity check?

Reviewing the previous guidance provided. Running ScanDisk & Defrag, Memory Diagnostic Tool, and the Blue Screen troubleshooter are recommended steps. You may also check Microsoft's Blue Screen guide for further assistance.

Reinstalled successfully so far; no crashes reported yet but I'll wait a couple days. Will update here if anything goes wrong. Appreciate your assistance.

EDIT: Experienced another crash after reinstall. Still new to the event viewer—any advice on finding the crash details? Notices warnings roughly every second. Checking administrative logs, but no specific warnings at the exact crash time.

EDIT 2: After reinstall, cleared Cache WTF and Interface folders to reset the UI. Hoping for a smooth recovery; otherwise I’ll restart Blizzard again. Thanks for your support.

You're noticing frequent warnings, which can be concerning. Could you clarify what type of alerts you're experiencing?

Certainly! Here’s a clearer version:
It might not be every exact moment, but there are more warnings than you'd see in a day. Would you like me to list the recurring errors and warnings?

Hi, I've encountered the same issue before. Have you found a solution?
