The performance you're seeing is normal during active use. Running multiple tabs and a low-res antivirus shouldn't strain your system unless it's on the extreme side.

I mainly rely on Windows Defender and nothing else, so I’m not familiar with how different antivirus programs perform. Still, since your PC has limited specs, it’s best to choose ones that need fewer resources.

Begin with a new Windows setup. Play a few games or test some software before adding extra programs and AVs.
