PC experienced freezing after launching a game around 5 minutes in, with no other options except restarting via power button. Details: OS version Win 11 Pro, latest update checked on Sep 15 at roughly 5 pm GMT-3. GPU is AMD RX 580 2304, CPU AMD Ryzen 5 5500MHz, 16GB RAM (2x8GB), 500GB SSD, 80+ bronze PSU. The issue started about a month ago, likely yesterday night. First game, "Orcs must die!", froze during settings adjustment, music still playing but no progress. Restarted and tried another game, which also froze. After disassembly, everything worked fine. Downloaded new drivers for GPU and CPU, ran memory checks, but found problems with several titles—including Baldur's Gate 3, Get To The Orange Door, Orcs must die!, The Crew Motorfest, Zelda BOTW (CEMU), and Teardown. Games that froze included Baldur's Gate 3, Get To The Orange Door, and Orcs must die! I didn't test Zelda BOTW yet. I'm unsure what to do next; I've already updated drivers and checked defenses, but deep troubleshooting isn't helping.

I understand BG3 is built for DX11 or Vulcan. Have you tried launching it with Vulcan if it crashes in DX11? Check for any recent updates before it began freezing. Consider removing the latest feature update. Reflect on previous changes that might have caused the issue—it's often a helpful reference.

I typically launch BG3 using Vulkan, as I was advised that Vulkan works better with AMD GPUs. But it still freezes now. Running it on DirectX11 seems fine. I’m a bit confused because my old setup worked with Vulkan, and I don’t see an option to switch to Vulkan in the other games. Thanks for your help!

I also tried Vulkan after DX11 and it functioned properly. That’s confusing since I never switched to Vulkan before. I only considered DX11 recently. Thanks for the update!
