Hey! For the upgrade, you probably won’t need to change your BIOS unless your motherboard supports it. Just make sure your current setup is stable before switching to the new processor. Good luck!

The 4460 is a socket 1150 CPU. Your board uses an LGA 1155 socket, meaning it only works with Sandy Bridge (2000 series) and Ivy Bridge (3000 series) processors, and for Ivy Bridge you'll need a BIOS upgrade.

The 4460 is a socket 1150 CPU. Your board uses an LGA 1155 socket, meaning it only works with Sandy Bridge (2000 series) and Ivy Bridge (3000 series) processors, and for Ivy Bridge you'll need a BIOS upgrade.
