Hello, I’m looking for someone to verify or challenge my theory. My setup has remained consistent over time—PC, mouse, keyboard, and monitors unchanged. Today, my G502 X Plus mouse started showing strange stuttering and disconnections. What’s new since yesterday? I replaced a basic IKEA desk with a height-adjustable model featuring a solid metal frame (~30kg) and added a new power strip. I also connected my keyboard wirelessly to a 5.0 Dongle, which caused significant issues with both devices. I stopped using it right away, but the mouse kept struggling.

So far, I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps: tested the mouse with and without Logitech G Hub, reinstalled it, charged it fully, changed the dongle port on my Lightspeed device (using both 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports), switched to front USB IO, disabled 2.4 GHz WiFi on my router (only 5GHz), cleaned the mousepad and sensor, unplugged power from the desk, and even tried mounting the mouse on cardboard for comparison.

The only change is the new desk and power strip. The mouse still experiences stuttering and complete disconnects. I suspect the large metal frame of the new desk might be interfering with the 2.4 GHz Lightspeed dongle—though it’s still problematic even when using front IO or supporting the mouse with a cardboard stand.

Could this be the root cause? I haven’t tried another mouse or longer cable yet, and the mouse works fine when connected via cable normally. No other components seem faulty. I didn’t unplug the dongle during the desk swap, so I’m not sure what else might have failed.

Thanks for your help!
