G3258 shouldn't overclock with H81M-C, but it should work!
As soon as I changed the CPU core ratio from auto to 'Sync All Cores' and then reached the '1-Core Ratio Limit', the system wouldn't boot. I encountered the same issue with another motherboard, but that model didn't support the G3258 revision. This one does work, though. I've already updated the BIOS to the version available on the site that supports the G3258. I'm still unsure what else I can do and feel completely confused about how to proceed.
Found someone who seems to match my issue... probably. He fixed it by using a different way to install the BIOS, rather than the EZ flash tool, and it seemed to work. I tried adjusting a few settings but really don’t know where to start. Anyone familiar with installing BIOS with FPT?
Visited every site, tried everything. Successfully understood how fpt64 functions, but when using it I keep getting "Error 201: [FPTw64.exe] cannot be run on the current platform. Please contact the vendor." or "Error 280: Failed to disable write protection for the BIOS space!". I searched extensively and found nothing useful—problems reported by other users range from different motherboards to Mac users. No helpful information available. Anyone have any ideas that might assist?
