I haven't placed a preorder with G2A, so I'm not sure how you'll receive your key. When purchasing games from them beforehand, I usually got the key instantly or received a Steam gift link.
I've invested at least £400 in G2A games, which I consider secure. You receive the titles in two ways: either as a Steam gift sent via email, or as a key that you manually unlock through Steam. They typically clarify whether you're paying for the game or the key.

I previously placed an order with G2A without issues. There hasn’t been any trouble so far. Keep in mind you likely won’t receive the pre-order perks available on Steam unless G2A announces them.
