So yes, I received an email today from G2A confirming they’ve added the option for customers to list game keys for sale on their platform. When searching for games, you can now filter to community posted listings and view users’ keys up for sale. I started a 'sell' form to understand the process—it simply prompts you to enter a key into a box and set a price. Once someone buys it, the key appears instantly, just like buying from their own listings.

This offers a clear benefit over eBay since you don’t have to wait for a seller to send you a key, and unlike eBay, the site doesn’t officially permit the sale of digitally delivered CD keys. They also appear to have measures in place to stop abuse of the PayPal chargeback system after a code has been redeemed.

Here are the terms and conditions of the site and service; it will be interesting to see if this works, given there are many keys circulating from GPU deals, which might mean more keys end up listed for sale rather than being given away.

It has been over a year since this post, but I've been working with G2A for longer than that and wanted to share my thoughts about the marketplace where they sell their codes as well as their shield, which acts like their insurance for the platform.

I bought a total of one key from their marketplace, which offers an extremely good discount on Xbox Live Gold 12-month keys. Since the timeframe was just 12 months, I didn’t feel the need to revisit the marketplace for another opportunity. The process was smooth, and it took about five minutes to receive my code via email. I used the shield now because I had no prior experience with their platform. If a transaction goes wrong through the marketplace, G2A promises protection. I’m not sure if people really need it, but it seems like another way for them to earn money. Most users still prefer the marketplace since the codes are cheaper there.

Additionally, I joined G2A as an affiliate through their Goldmine program and can see where most people buy their keys—either through the marketplace or elsewhere. I’m aware of some issues (like the Ubisoft incident with stolen credit cards earlier this year), but overall I believe G2A does a decent job. Over the past year from my affiliate activities, I’ve seen 4,543 transactions, with only 14 coming from outside the marketplace. There were also 31 refunds from the marketplace itself. Those numbers are quite impressive.

Based on my experience, there don’t seem to be any real problems. Good luck!

I thought you might have forgotten?
It seems you’ve always been able to handle this, hasn’t it? I’ve had the “sell” feature enabled on my account since I set it up some time ago. You could offer ten keys for free before charging.
