fx8370e overclocking on watercooler - high temperature?
I've achieved a consistent overclock at 4330MHz on my FX8370e, verified using IBT-avx.
My watercooler is a basic, affordable model from H45 Corsair, operating in push-pull mode, with the tower equipped with four additional (120mm) fans.
After prolonged use and stress testing, the peak temperature reached was 58º (during an unusual Brazilian summer), with a BIOS vcore of 1.31v (max 1.33, min 1.29, average 1.30, thanks to medium LLC).
Is this temperature acceptable? The highest temperature observed in the motherboard was 60º, likely on the northbridge.
The only minor clock fluctuations recorded by HWMonitor were down to 3.963MHz, and HWinfo didn't detect any significant changes.
I'm curious—will reaching these temperatures pose any risks to the CPU?
It seems like the system hit its limit, but you're still close enough to avoid stopping. Keep going, you're just a bit off.
