fx cpu overclocking

hello i've got my fx 6300 clocked at 4.4 in bios, but benchmarks and cpuz hw monitor show it's actually 4.28. sometimes the system freezes during tasks, and task mangier reports disk issues. i have a 250 gig ssd and a fatl1ty 990fx mobo. please help.

Have you disabled every power-saving setting and the turbo feature? Are you using AMD Overdrive?

Did you disable all power-saving settings and turbo? Are you using AMD Overdrive? I disabled power saving mode and turbo in BIOS, but do I need to install and enable Overdrive to fully disable them?

Get the AOD to keep track of what's happening, avoid overriding it. It works best with AMD setups. If you're certain about temperatures and voltages, you can fix issues more effectively.

I've encountered some unusual issues lately. I'm stuck at a consistent 4.5 GHz, but I had to set my RAM to auto frequencies in the BIOS. My 1600 RAM sticks are showing up at 800 MHz, and when I run Prim 95 with 3 workers, they don't even start properly, even though I keep feeding it voltage. Help needed!

It's DDR technology, which means 800MHz actually translates to 1600 effective speed.

cpuz mentions it operates at 400MHz, while the bios states it runs at 800MHz overall. Unless the DDR3 can reach 4400MHz with 2200MHz being the top choice, that's the situation described.
