Specs: 8320 @ 4ghz, 8gb RAM, 1333 xfx, 270x, 500 watt, 80+ power.
Performance problems in games: Rust causes stutter, GTA 4 averages 30 FPS, DayZ is unplayable regardless of settings or fixes. Concerned these titles are broken on AMD? DayZ is the game I’m eager to play but haven’t solved yet. Any advice would be invaluable.

These games are not functioning well for all users. Optimization is very lacking.

I own a rig at home featuring an OC'd FX 8320 and a R9 280X that consistently struggles to reach 60fps in Minecraft due to suboptimal mods. Experiment with tweaking settings, trying new driver versions, and checking for patches or mods that might improve performance. Also explore alternative APIs and versions. As Annoyedshelf noted, many of these games are quite problematic, even for high-end systems like a 4790k CPU setup.

Rust remains in early stages, meaning speed won’t be great for users. GTA 4 continues as a performance-heavy engine. DayZ also suffers from a weak engine, making it slow and frustrating.
