Intel themselves leaked there were going to be double cache versions relative to the existing quad core, which was taken to be these 8 core parts, having 24MB of L3 cache. These come with 20 PCIe 4.0 lanes for connectivity. No specific mention about iGPU but I'd assume it has the same Xe graphics as existing Tiger Lake offerings. I don't think Intel normally do mobile CPUs without iGPU, outside of Cannon Lake that Intel wants to forget. These are Zen 3 so also get the "good" stuff found in the desktop models, particularly the now unified L3 cache. One part which is not confirmed, but I'd seek comment on. Above link states "For additional connectivity, we expect the Ryzen 5000 Mobile processors to also keep the same as the previous generation: eight lanes of PCIe 3.0". Is this correct? I do recall the APU/mobile CPUs which have graphics built in only had 8 lanes, but I didn't know they were 3.0. Graphics are apparently unchanged from Zen 2 models with 8CU Vega. I don't want to attempt to draw performance conclusions without knowing more details on both sides, but I think it safe to say, that Intel are not lying down and are fighting. This could be close. AMD are expected to be out first, claiming availability in February, whereas Intel is more vague in "Q1".
Yesterday* Intel revealed their 8 core Tiger Lake parts. Today* AMD's CES keynote mentioned their "HX" mobile CPU series. I've been trying to dig into the detail a bit as I think they'll likely be going against each other in the higher performance end. (*technically it is after midnight where I am in the UK, but for those in the americas the timing is still right

It's incredible how much progress has been made in recent years, the advancement of computer hardware keeps surprising me.
