You're looking for ways to pass time without feeling stuck. Destiny 2 is decent overall, with around 60 hours left, though it's hard to decide what to do beyond some repetitive PvE tasks. The multiplayer isn't my favorite, and chasing "legendary" gear feels like a lot of work, especially since much of it requires paid DLC. Still, the game runs smoothly and is well optimized, performing really well.

I agree with this. I recently started playing World of Warships and I'm really enjoying it. It includes a pug co-op mode, which lets me focus on the ships without worrying about team relevance. Jayztwocents often codes, so I used "PLAYLANGLEY2019" to get a free carrier and some currencies; it seems it's still working well. The game lacks a "save replay" option, but since it runs smoothly, recording your own sessions is straightforward (I use OBS). I began capturing my matches after dodging torpedoes multiple times, and managed to survive close encounters with the lead battleship of the opposing duo by making a left turn and sailing parallel. So far, typical matches last between 5 to 10 minutes—about 10 with battleships and 5 or less with quicker boats—making it easy to jump in and out whenever you can. I strongly suggest giving it a shot! The only major drawback is the large storage requirement of around 75 GB. (I just discovered a replays folder with .wowsreplay files, so I'll need to check them out. This might have helped me answer the question!)

I enjoy both games. WoT offers a more arcade-style experience. The tanks accumulate health points, and it often feels like a repetitive grind—requiring numerous battles in a specific tier before you can upgrade to the next level. While in-game earnings contribute, they aren't essential. You invest only in the game to progress quicker, gaining more experience points and credits for research and upgrading to higher-tier tanks. It isn’t easy to instantly become the best when paying the game. Most high-performing tanks are regular models rather than premium ones.

The skill ceiling and learning curve in WoT are quite steep. Understanding the mechanics, maps, and tank traits is essential for success. Even minor obstacles like sand dunes or small terrain changes can influence your tactics.

War Thunder provides a more realistic setting, though it includes an arcade mode that delivers more authentic gameplay than WoT. Unlike WoT, War Thunder vehicles lack health points. It combines tanks, aircraft, and ships in intense battles across various modes. While it’s less repetitive, it’s more demanding—there’s a higher risk of being eliminated instantly if your armor is breached or ammunition is compromised.

Spotting enemies quickly can be challenging in War Thunder; you must remain vigilant, scanning the screen constantly and staying extremely cautious. However, there are three vehicle spawns available for each type in this game.

Personally, both titles offer enjoyment. WoT excels during the "next tier tank grind," where experience points and credits are crucial but team performance varies due to skill differences—this creates a significant challenge. War Thunder, on the other hand, presents a harsher challenge from the start. You can launch into battle and immediately target capture zones or any part of the map, facing instant defeat without much opportunity to recover.

If I had to choose which is more enjoyable, I’d say WoT wins. It includes light tanks that let you engage slower enemies when conditions permit, adding a layer of strategy.

You can discover more entertaining moments or humorous clips on YouTube where WoT shines more than War Thunder in this category. Additionally, both games require a mid-range GPU, but WoT can handle high settings smoothly at 1080p 60 FPS with GTX 1050 Ti or RX 570. GTX 1060 or RX580 can also run it at ultra settings at 1080p 90-130 fps. I tested and confirmed that WoT can operate efficiently even on an integrated iGPU like the i7 8700K, achieving 1080p 70-100fps without a dedicated card. War Thunder, however, needs a more powerful GPU—1080p 45-55 fps at low settings with just an 8700K processor—making it less accessible on older hardware.

The available modes for all vehicles in War Thunder are not specified. Information about the Gaijin launcher installing malware is also unclear. Details regarding match times for War Thunder are not provided.

There is a Tank Realistic Battle mode where tanks and aircrafts operate together, while the Naval Battle mode features aircrafts and ships simultaneously but excludes tanks. Please note if this might be misunderstood.

I’m uncertain, but the game includes anti-cheat measures to address past issues of cheaters in War Thunder.

The system continues to function as it was before, aiming to prevent cheating.

As long as the game lasts until both sides exhaust their respawns for each player and until they successfully capture points, it remains active.

In War Thunder, achieving kills is generally easier than in WoT, provided you manage to survive the conflict. For instance, my best record in WoT was 9 kills across more than 10,000 battles, whereas in WT I achieved 16 kills in under 100 battles in arcade mode.

The Tank Realistic Battle mode presents a much greater challenge because enemy vehicles are hard to spot—even when in front—and they can use smoke and camouflage to avoid detection. This applies equally to both sides.

If you excel at WoT, you can improve your skills in WT’s arcade mode by leveraging terrain and tank advantages. However, the Realistic Battle mode is significantly more demanding.

Also, War Thunder features modern vehicles.

In WoT, you can demonstrate your expertise by displaying "Mark of Excellence" on your tank’s gun barrel—there are three levels, earned by achieving a certain average damage per battle. It’s quite challenging to reach three marks. Those with two or three marks clearly show strong skill.

It seems the system relies on their torrent distribution to push updates to other clients as long as the Gaijin launcher is active. I choose to disable it at startup to save my bandwidth.
I tend to prefer a more tactical, tank-focused gameplay style, though it's simpler than War Thunder but offers a different feel.
