The interface is designed for complete immersion. Why limit yourself to a borderless experience?
I choose borderless to prevent the taskbar and windows from appearing over the game, avoiding flicker and a full return to desktop. It also makes screenshots with tools like puush smoother since the game stays integrated with the actual desktop.
It's very easy to move between many windows quickly. I often switch from a game to a Chrome tab, music player, or chat window. In some games with poor vsync, using a borderless window can prevent tearing. The main drawback is that it requires vsync to be enabled in your game settings, which can be a big issue or a big convenience depending on the situation.
