I recall playing the old FS games with my grandfather. He always played it with intensity, aiming for smooth landings on big jets. I enjoyed piloting the smaller light aircraft and intentionally crashing into towers. Those were great moments.

I also did that when I had FS 2002. I don’t think I managed to land an aircraft in free flight for a few years, hehe.

REX is a must. There's a free pack of 747 & 737 liveries out there that I remember if which were good quality. Since I've been out of the loop for a while go to Cessna154 on YouTube and check his freeware and payware reviews. There's a lot of interesting things you can find. (We should go do a group flight when possible, I miss flying but have no computer at the moment.) Never had that happen to me.

Reach altitudes up to 30,000 feet, engage altitude hold and set the simulation speed to x16. Observe the condensation trails. Also, verify the altimeter in the cockpit.

Thanks! I'll look into Cessna154's videos. I'm ready for a group flight when you are. Just give me some patience while I keep learning.

I need to remember that when I can fly again. You've got a few months, but I don't think I'll be able to join FSX until at least February.

At least that way I won’t feel awkward.
