North XL issue from Fractal seems unusual. I’ve been trying to fix it, but the PSU keeps clicking and the MOBO fails to power on—only when the front IO USBs are connected. I’m not sure why or how to fix this beyond swapping parts of the case.
Sounds like an electrical short on the front IO cable then if its only happening with its plugged in. Either just ignore it and use rear IO/USB or ask for an RMA from Fractal. It could be the mobo too, but only way to test is to plug another USB device into the header if you have one available.
