From intel to AMD
From intel to AMD
Hello, everyone
I'm here again with a question, this time more straightforward.
After my last issue, I chose to refresh my computer (motherboard, CPU, RAM). Because I prefer AMD for some reason, I purchased an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 B450 and added some RAM.
The main concern is whether installing these new parts into an older system (SSD, HDD, PSU) will allow it to boot right away or if I need to remove the SSD and start from a USB installation.
Are there any other factors I should consider?

A new setup, particularly for the motherboard, usually requires a fresh OS installation. Transitioning from Intel to AMD is almost guaranteed. Three potential results exist: 1) everything functions properly, 2) complete failure, or 3) it works but you face ongoing problems for weeks or months. Proceed with a clean install if needed.
