I don't recognize the 7940 model, though the 7490 is a VDSL modem/router/AP from 2014. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison...ox_devices https://www.cnet.com/reviews/avm-fritz-box-7490-review/ It should work adequately, but nothing impressive. Setting up home networks can often feel overly complicated.

I'm having trouble because I can't find the password for the router settings. It's not the Wi-Fi key, but the one needed to modify the device's configuration.

the system shows just a wlan network identifier and a cwmp account details, but the password isn’t visible.
