friend purchased an ASUS TUF GAMING B450M-PLUS II yet it fails to start with power.
She mentioned she bought her motherboard online and said it was compatible with Ryzen 5600x. However, when she tried to power it on, it wouldn't turn on. She checked RAM, PSU, and GPU but everything seemed fine. She attempted to update the BIOS using Asus Flashback, but it didn’t help either. Any suggestions?
She isn't able to review the Bios version because she lacks access to it, which is the issue at hand.
It seems unusual, but BIOS support is expected from the start. Did you verify the connections? Tested booting with a single RAM stick, various slots and sticks. Fans spinning? Black screen detected. Which version were you using?
Everything looks good so far. (GPU power connectors, etc.) RAM is seated and the lock is engaged automatically. (RAM clicks occasionally when you seat it.) I've tested a single stick of RAM and tried various slots. The display cable is connected to the GPU. When reading from the port it's plugged into, the monitor shows data.
If you attempted every option and strictly adhered to the guidelines, it seems unusual, though it might just be the MB.
