Friday the 13th Game / Ultimate Edition - Launch Failure: Permission Refused.
Hello everyone,
I have reported several bug reports to the developers and other related information. I am hoping that I can resolve this problem myself.
I upgraded my hardware, completely reinstalled Windows, drivers, and Steam – downloading “Friday the 13th: The Game” on Friday the 13th, and I received a “Launch Error: Access Denied”.
I suspected this was linked to EasyAntiCheat, but neither repairing nor uninstalling and reinstalling it resolved the error.
I investigated online and located files in:
Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\F13Game\SummerCamp\Binaries\Win64
It appeared I was making progress, as the screen would actually begin loading, but then a critical error caused everything to crash:

It’s remarkably unusual, as I haven't encountered any significant problems with the game since its release... but immediately after upgrading, this occurred.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated – I have checked for corrupted game files in Steam, but it's not working.
Thanks
UPDATE:
I performed a completely fresh installation of Windows 10 Home on my secondary SSD, only installing Windows Updates and then Steam/F13. This was successful.
Reinstalling on my 950 Pro resolved the issue entirely.
It seems very strange, but it appears that the core problem originated with the Windows installation itself.
Eventually, the problem resurfaced again. Fortunately, I managed to identify the source – it stemmed from ASUS Aura. Apparently, it was causing EAC to activate, and this seems like a fairly prevalent issue according to some online research. By terminating "lightningservice.exe," the system returned to normal operation.
