I don't see it either, but I wouldn't necessarily skip Corsair just because... If you enjoy Corsair, you can pick it from the Vendor section to view Corsair selections available on this QVL... Nonetheless, no matter the maker, I've noticed that with Ryzen models it's more advantageous to browse the QVL. It really made a noticeable impact in my case.
I'm happy to hear the problems you were facing are resolved. I don't really like Corsair much due to its poor audio quality and the way it affects game performance. Upgrading to 32GB of RAM would be a good move for Star Citizen anyway, so that's definitely a positive step! Thanks for the help!
The latest iCUE version isn't great, that's for sure. I believe the HydroX updates are mainly responsible. If I recall correctly, I'm using 4.28 because 4.29 was causing some serious problems. Or maybe it's 3.38, but my iCUE folder shows 4. I haven't faced any major issues since going back to the previous version.
Are you experiencing stuttering and wondering if Freesync/Gsync helps? Have you tried alternatives before? Do you install the newest monitor drivers for your display? Have you checked CPU and GPU activity during those events? Which RTX 3080 model do you own and is it running the most recent vBios?
I’ve attempted to turn off Freesync on my display, but the effect isn’t noticeable. I also tried without Vsync in NCP, yet my drivers remain outdated. To be honest, this issue has occurred with two different monitors. I’ve checked my GPU/CPU activity during the event and noticed no unusual drops or behavior. If you’re interested, you can review the video I linked, which shows stuttering and an MSI Afterburner overlay when it happens. The GPU I own is the GIGABYTE GAMING GeForce RTX 3080 (likely the 10GB model), though I’m not certain. I haven’t tried updating the BIOS since I wasn’t aware of its existence until recently, and I’ll need to explore the process carefully to avoid any risk to my GPU.
