Frequency of the RAM module
Frequency of the RAM module
I've just assembled my setup but haven't managed to get the RAM to hit 3600MHz. I have a Ryzen 5800X, a Strix B550 gaming rig, Corsair 4x8GB RT Pro at 3600MHz, and a Gigabyte RX 3070. I enabled DOCP which lets RAM auto-run at 3200MHz, but when I switch to 3600MHz it causes a boot loop into BIOS. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
The newest BIOS version is 2806. You might want to verify it in CPU-Z. XMP (DOCP) overclocking can push performance past 3600 with four sticks using Zen3, while some CPUs with less powerful memory controllers may struggle to reach that speed—especially if the RAM isn't uniform or isn't listed on the motherboard's QLV section.
You might want to adjust the timing. You can also set it to 3200; you probably wouldn't even notice the change.
You can increase the voltage to 1.2 to check its effect, though the change isn't significant compared to 3200 and 3600 anyway.
