Your ASUS laptop originally had 8GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM. You added another stick with DDR4 2666MHz, but you can't change the memory clocks in the BIOS. You'll need to upgrade to 3200MHz RAM if you want full performance.

Usually you can simply insert the RAM and the device will use it during its lowest performance points. If that fails, just take out the new module.
