I played the game just two days prior for around an hour and a half, mostly focusing on character creation and learning the mechanics in Cemetery of Ash. It worked perfectly. Today I decided to play again but it froze twice—once with the screen and once with sound. I tried restarting via Task Manager, Alt+Tab, or closing apps, but nothing resolved it. The only visible screen was the blue Ctrl+Alt+Del window. After a reboot, I resumed, though I’m growing frustrated. This isn’t the first time I’ve faced such issues; I remember GTA V had similar problems where Alt+Tab or exiting caused a black screen and forced me to shut down the PC. My old GPU also caused a black screen before. None of my friends have ever had this problem, and I haven’t found a fix yet. Am I really cursed?

It seems you've likely verified and reinstalled your drivers. Freezing is usually related to heat issues. Make sure your temperatures are normal.

Checking the game files might confirm stability. Since you didn’t experience any crashes in DS3, it’s likely the game is functioning properly.

What do you intend by "validate the game files"? Could you clarify what steps you're referring to? I noticed similar issues on Steam regarding freezes in DS3.

I think I'm missing something, but I need to explore... Right-click on DS3.exe? EDIT: Got it! I'll try again. You mentioned using the right-click function in Steam.
