It might assist you by testing it on your own, using FreeSync and checking for FPS changes. Be clear about the game you're playing and your hardware details.

Sorry about the confusion. The situation isn’t changing much, usually around 117-122Hz. A fixed 120Hz might be preferable for stability. Your 9600k dual-channel RAM 3070 seems fine—no problems detected so far.

It could be a slight CPU limitation, but it's not a major issue—it's probably around a 1-2% slowdown. Likely not a big concern for you. If your monitor supports FreeSync, just turn it on.

The CPU seems to be the main issue, not the 9600k speed. Modern CPUs today are more powerful than this.

If there are no problems, it still seems important. For me, changing the frame rate too much causes noticeable drops—like 1-2 frames per second up or down. Without a VRR monitor, I’m not sure they’d help, and after looking into it, I’m not convinced they’d make a difference.

Enjoy Love Freesync, with my setup I can switch between the lower and upper ranges easily. I've seen a big change after moving from a fixed 60, the drop was quite obvious.
