Hey, when you load chunks in Minecraft, you often see sudden frame drops from high to low performance. It’s frustrating, especially with your setup. Make sure your RAM is stable and consider checking for any background processes that might be affecting it. Optimofine or Sodium can help, but sometimes hardware limitations are the main issue.
Check if the game runs on an SSD or traditional hard drive. What is the maximum render distance you use? Are there any custom shaders or graphical enhancements beyond the standard sodium and optifine?
It's unclear why this occurs. With an old GT 730 using a 2GB DDR3, the system would frequently drop from 100% to around 80%.
It's also typical of Minecraft. It relies heavily on the CPU. I'm not sure what fixes would work. Reducing render distance and simulation distance might help, plus pre-generating the world. I'm mostly familiar with doing those steps on servers.
