Frame rate stutter impacting gameplay, requiring assistance.
I experience frame time spikes that result in FPS stutters across numerous games, with GTA being an exception. Specifically, Deceit, Fortnite, League of Legends, Rust, UEBS, and various others exhibit this behavior. I've attempted several solutions, including ensuring optimal temperatures, installing games on both SSD and hard drive, updating all drivers to the latest versions, removing malware, manually clearing game caches, adjusting NVIDIA Control Panel settings, and limiting maximum frame rates. Despite these efforts, the issue remains significant and renders many games nearly unplayable. I am utilizing DOCP profiles.
Attempt to set all cores to identical base clock speeds, either through BIOS settings or using Ryzen Master. Using Precision Boost Overdrive can lead to one core running at a different speed than the others, resulting in synchronization issues within a game.
How do I ensure all cores operate at the same speed after installing Ryzen Master?
I do not possess a Ryzen processor; however, I understand that “Ryzen overclock utility” exists and should be readily discoverable through a Google search to determine its functionality.
I resolved to do it in BIOS. Within the custom CPU core ratio setting, there are only auto and custom options, unlike what I discovered elsewhere where a sync all function was available.
The afterburner display shows stuttering. I downloaded Metro Exodus today and experienced stuttering every time new content loaded. Research indicated high latency, confirmed by LatencyMon. I also disabled unused audio controllers in device manager. The stutter has improved in Metro Exodus, but not in other games.
