The game seems to maintain a high frame rate naturally. Checking the INI settings for a V-sync feature might help. Adjusting the settings to run at 240 fps and lower cooling could improve performance.

Run MSI afterburner alongside Rivatuner server. Utilize Rivatuner server to cap FPS by including the game EXE.

Under User/Username/Documents/My Games/Heroes Of Might And Magic V/Profiles/Profilename you can locate a user.cfg file. That’s the detailed settings for the game and it includes a V-Sync feature configured at 0. You can switch it to 1 if needed. I understand it's late, but this subject might come up for some people when they look for it.
