Hey, I built my first PC but I'm facing a problem with games running smoothly. I can't get any titles above 60 FPS when VSync is off, and my monitor only supports a 60 Hz refresh rate. I'm using an Asus Strix GTX970. I've tried games like CS:GO, League of Legends, and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

The screen can only handle up to 60 frames per second. The issue might lie elsewhere.

along with removing the `-` but it's preferable to latency for quick games like CS:GO, I think @Pricegibbs is welcome on the forum. Don't forget to reference or mention the person you're responding to so they receive a notification. Try uninstalling your GPU driver using DDU and install the 361.xx or 362.xx drivers, ideally in safe mode.

Not used to humor, especially in Malaysia. I understand input lag. If someone is at 60fps, would you think a noticeable delay exists? Probably not. I don’t think anyone will notice a 1ms difference.

According to @Praesi, your monitor might not support more than 60+ frames. Consider using a different driver from Geforce.com.

The problem is he shouldn't be running at 60fps with that rig. He needs a significantly higher frame rate, and he's seeking assistance to resolve it. You're implying he can't exceed 60fps, so input delay isn't a concern because he doesn't want to be limited there.

Verify your Control Panel configurations. It's possible Vsync is being forced.

When using a window or fullscreen view, VSync will carry over from the Windows desktop even if it's disabled in the game. Consider switching to fullscreen if needed.
