As the title indicates...but when I play any VR game, every few minutes of play, if I don’t physically interact with the mouse and click on the window, my GPU load spikes to 99% (from about 40% before) and the FPS drops to 45 FPS with stuttering (previously a perfectly stable and smooth 90 FPS). As soon as I click on the screen, performance returns to normal...

GPU temperatures and clocks stay consistent—meaning the GPU is actually doing something or not doing anything properly.

PLZ, for the love of god, help me with this... it’s really frustrating!

GPU usage reached 99%? Verify whether the core clock remained unchanged.

Yes, I made the edits. The clocks and temperatures stay high, which means the GPU is still functioning properly. It seems like there might be an issue or a bug. I turned off the screen saver and all power-saving settings to see if that helps.

It seems like the only options are to test if this works with an older driver or it might be a genuine issue.

What I attempted so far:
- Closing all unnecessary apps to focus on Oculus, Steam, and the game...
- Reinstalling Oculus software
- Reinstalling Steam
- Updating NVIDIA drivers
Consistently the same outcome.

It seems this only occurred recently, by the way. Installing an older driver worked too.

It happened recently, probably within the last week or so. It might be related to a Windows update. When it began, I was using NVIDIA drivers from two versions ago, which worked fine until then. After installing version 430.86, there was no improvement. How can this be resolved if it's connected to a Windows update?

Wait a bit for another update and see if it gets resolved. Maybe the issue is with the multiple monitors? Could you turn off the primary display while using VR?

Guess what... I think I discovered the problem!
I noticed my GPU usage would spike unexpectedly even while just watching YouTube videos. At first, I considered it might be malware.
I checked with Malwarebytes and SpyBot search and destroy, found several threats, cleared everything, rebooted, and so far it hasn’t resolved the issue...
So, hoping for the best, I’m confident it’s fixed now.
I’ll share again tomorrow when I have more time to test thoroughly, but I really think I solved it.
