I have a gtx 1050,a Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 and 4 gigs of ram so if i underclock my gpu will it increase fps in games because i cant run ac3 at 60fps. I suspect a big bottleneck

Being underclocked doesn't boost performance. It's more likely your CPU and RAM are limiting, so connecting the GPU won't make a difference.
