FPS drops significantly when using Fraps.

You're seeing unexpected performance drops during recording, especially noticeable with COD. The issue seems tied to the storage setup and recording software. While recording to an external drive works better, your main drive still shows high usage during recording. Checking the drive's health and ensuring it's not full could help. Also, try using a different recording app or software to see if the problem persists.

FRAPS in a nutshell. Are you sure Lossless RGB capture is turned on? It drops the frame rate even more than usual.

OBS and dxtory work well together, but Shadowplay might offer enhanced recording features if it's available.

Fraps remains the same for years, it's time to switch to another program. However, the FPS indicator is useful but that's all. Consider using the Xbox app on Windows 10.

This doesn't lower the FPS noticeably based on my observations. Just confirm it's active and working properly.
