FPS decreases when viewing the city at night in GTA:V.
When I observe the night scenes in GTA or just the city view, I feel okay in the desert, but near areas with the city I start to slow down. I've tried lowering everything but nothing helps; the CPU stays around 30-40% and the GPU rarely hits 100%. The PSU is 750W, but it doesn’t reach full capacity often.
It seems the extra visuals are making the process harder than expected. The numerous lights, effects, shadows, and details are putting more strain on the system than the sparse desert environment would suggest. Would it be okay to lower the render resolution slightly?
Adjusting your render resolution in-game settings usually affects it gradually rather than instantly. For example, if you're at 4K, it won't immediately switch to 1440p, and if you're at 1440p it won't drop straight down to 1080p. You can lower it in small steps—often around 10%—to regain some performance.
