Hi everyone, here’s my configuration:
Mobo: Gigabyte Z97M-D3H
CPU: i7 4790K
Ram: 16 GB (8*2) 1866 DDR3
GPU: Asus OC RTX 3060
When I play games at 1080p ultra or higher, FPS stays above 80 or even 100. But with ray tracing enabled, performance drops to 40-50 FPS. (DLSS is active and VSYN is off)
I’m wondering if my CPU and other parts are limiting the GPU or if this is normal. Should I lower graphics settings and try RT? I think the RTX 3060 should handle 1080p gaming well.
Thanks for your feedback.

40-50 with RT at ultra and a 3060 sound seems appropriate. RT significantly reduces FPS in half.

Well then that's great news since I wasn't planning an upgrade for the next 1-2 years. I believed it was my CPU limiting performance. Thanks for your feedback. Appreciate it.
