I'm experiencing an unusual problem while playing Valorant. My setup includes a DELL G15 5515 Ryzen 5600H RTX3050 with 8GB RAM. Previously, I maintained a steady 120FPS, but now it fluctuates to 45-50FPS. When I turn off the charger and restart it, the frame rate returns to 120FPS. I tried using Dell Support Assist, but no issues were reported. All drivers are up to date. I submitted a support ticket on Riot Games' site, though I'm unsure if the game or my laptop is affected. Please assist. I've attached some log files from the Riot Repair Tool: SystemLogs-2023-01-21.zip and VAL-2023-01-21.zip.
Do you have any Dell Management software installed on that laptop? Was the operating system the same as the one shipped from the factory, without any reinstallation?
yes i ran dell support assist but it says no issue with the hardware. no i had an issue with windows once so i had reinstalled once.
The problem appears across multiple titles, not just Valorant. Riot Games' recent track record updates have impacted performance in several games.
You might try another game or perform a stress test if it isn't occurring there—it's a Valorant issue, and Riot needs to resolve it.
You're seeing this error because the system isn't running a specific game. Try using a benchmark tool like CS:GO, Benchmark, or something similar that uses both CPU and GPU. If you don't have any games installed, consider starting with a CPU or GPU test to see if it works.
