It’s not necessary? Just limiting the frames per second to match your screen’s refresh rate helps save energy, reduces heat and noise, and eliminates coil whine.
Wouldn't mind focusing on other things, power and heat are fine, headphones block out noise. It would be great if I could unlock that feature.
They do it since the developers aren't putting in enough effort to set up accurate clock timing across various game sections. Without solid coding, trying to run the game at 120fps instead of 60fps would lead to problems like things moving too fast and other errors that could ruin the experience.
It would be pleasant because not all people rely on headphones.
It's unrealistic to assume a game shouldn't be played on PC just because developers aren't excited about higher refresh rates. I believe it's smart to experience games with VSync for clarity and performance. Some people use 144Hz displays, but should they be penalized if the dev doesn't support it?
